Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and integration
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, or KAP, combines the effects of ketamine with intentional therapeutic support. For some clients, it can create greater openness, perspective, emotional access, and flexibility around patterns that have felt difficult to shift through talk therapy alone.
A therapy-centered approach
The medicine itself is not the entire therapy. The deeper work often develops through preparation, supported experience, and the meaning you make afterward. My approach is careful, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s needs, history, and experience.
What the process may include
- An initial consultation and assessment of fit
- Preparation and intention-setting
- Coordination with an appropriate prescribing medical provider
- Supported medicine sessions when clinically appropriate
- Integration through reflection, relational processing, mindfulness, journaling, or somatic awareness
Who may be interested in KAP
KAP may appeal to adults seeking deeper work around depression, anxiety, trauma-related patterns, emotional disconnection, grief, identity, or life transitions. It is not appropriate for everyone, and participation requires thoughtful screening and medical oversight.
Curious whether KAP may be a fit?
A consultation is a place to ask questions and talk through whether this approach makes sense for you.
